Our Declaration

We, the children of this world -- from different races, cultures, ethnicity, faiths and background -- address the following to our world leaders and our elders: is it too much to ask for a future without hunger, without suffering, without fear, without wars, without nuclear weapons, a future without violence?

We therefore, demand that you STOP this cycle of violence by helping poor nations, instead of bombing them; avoid wars in the future by helping these countries instead of exploiting them. Teach your children active nonviolence instead of how to react with revenge; guide them towards giving the human being the central value, instead of grooming them towards more consumerism.

Lastly, reconcile with the past, because only then can we move ahead towards a human future.

What do we mean "to reconcile"? Every aspect of our past and present -- personal and as a species -- should be reconciled. Without reconciliation, there could be no integration; and without integration, there could be no going forward. Without going forward, there is no future. Without future, there could only be death. Reconciliation or death. Nothing in between.

We always hear from our elders, that we the children are the future; we say, that yes, we are indeed the future, but that future depends on what you, our leaders, do today. If you do an act of war today, then our future will be all about wars, too. You reap what you sow, remember?

For the record, we the undersigned, declare before the world: Let there be peace; let there be future where nonviolence prevail.
